Autumn for me is always a funny season to style, as it feels too early to bring out the knitwear but is way too cold for bare legs.
If like me you can't quite seem to put away all those pretty pastel and floral pieces that you've added to your wardrobe over the summer, then why not take some inspiration from Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack and adapt those pieces to make them more weather appropriate.
Caroline is well known for her usual wardrobe staple, the beloved shorts (if you find something that works for you, then stick to it I say) but I must admit that this latest outfit she's rocking has to be one of my favourite looks so far.
The peach jeans just add that little bit of colour to a cloudy day and look great teamed with a buttoned up denim shirt. Throwing the mack over the top ties the whole outfit together and makes a somewhat summery look transition perfectly into autumn.

Highlighting Female Founders At Plum Alley
New York based website Plum Alley celebrates and showcases products and services by female founders.
Each week, they share stories from business women, with this weeks offering coming from Brett Heyman, founder and designer of Edie Parker..
Back in 2010, Brett decided to make the retro-inspired clutches when after numerous searches for the perfect vintage bag she discovered that there was a huge gap in the market for such products.
As Sister Stylista is a female founded blog, we understand the pressures and obstacles that ladies in business come across and we more than welcome anyone that wants to celebrate and share inspiring and encouraging stories with us.
Take a look at PlumAlley.co to read more.

Emmy's 2012
The fashion at Sunday nights Emmy's seemed to have a slight aqua/underwater theme running through it. With many of Hollywood's A-listers wearing blue hues and fishtail gowns.
Bright colours were also evident with most of the celebs in attendance steering clear of the classic blacks and greys.

Studded Steve Maddens Off To Pastures New
Today is a sad day, as today I have decided to sell my Steve Madden shoes on eBay.
As much as it pains me to get rid of them, I've decided that it's for the best. Even getting them out of the box today made me doubt my decision as they're just so pretty! But in the 4 years I've had them they've been out of their box about 5 times and only one of those times was to actually wear them, the other 4 times I got them out just to look at them.
I'm hoping they will go to a good home where someone will get as much pleasure out of them as I have and will hopefully wear them as they were intended.

Military Jacket
Once again Military is a massive trend this season and unless you've been walking around with your eyes closed you would have noticed that the high street is awash with affordable pieces.
The most popular piece seems to be the military jacket with leather sleeves, with shops like Primark, Topshop and Zara all selling their own take on the trend.
Seen as it's a big trend, I of course had to get on-board and picked up this New Look version for £44.99.

Mimi.C S/S13 Collection
Last night Sister Stylista headed to the very fancy Rose club in Mayfair for a catwalk preview of Mimi.C's S/S13 collection.
Founded in 2009 by award winning designer Milda Cergelyte, Mimi.C promises clothing for the naturally elegant woman who knows exactly what she wants.
The latest collection from the label was inspired by the body art of the Japanese mafia YAKUZA.
Unfortunately, after the initial excitement of the surroundings of the event, we were kind of left a little deflated. The show was running behind schedule so the fashionistas in attendance were left standing out in the cold for 30 minutes, which dampened the mood slightly. Once inside the venue things started to look up when the goodie bags, vodka's and chocolate brownies were handed around. Then came the catwalk show, which moved so fast and was over in 15 minutes that it was very hard to get a glimpse of the collection.
I've taken a few snaps but it doesn't really give you an insight into the label, so if you want to find out more about the collection then head over to www.mimicfashion.co.uk.
Keeping with the Japanese theme I took a few pictures on the way home of Yayoi Kusama's Louis Vuitton window displays at Selfridges.
The artists second collaboration with the brand is exclusively available at Selfridges, with the collection being displayed in 24 of the Oxford Street store windows.

Ragged Priest
From previous posts you will know by now that we are both totally addicted to studs and spikes to the point it's becoming a slight addiction!
So my recent introduction to the brand Ragged Priest was like finding a missing piece to our fashion jigsaw. What makes the discovery even better for us is that they are based in Essex and there's nothing better than supporting local talent.
Here's some of our favourite pieces from the collection.
