Lydia Bright's Virgos Lounge Mustard Wrap Dress

I'm a bit behind the times with this post because Lydia wore this dress back in June at the Towie wrap party but, I've only just come across the picture and couldn't get over how amazing she is looking these days.  Her new relationship with co-star Tom Kilbey definitely suits her and has left her with that loved up glow.

The Virgos Lounge dress compliments Lydia's new sharp bob and blunt fringe and certainly adds another notch to her fashion belt.

She is one lady who's look has changed so dramatically that she's almost unrecognisable from the girl that first hit our screens back in the early days of the reality show.

Hollie Wakeham's Salon Launch

Friday night I was lucky enough to attend the glitz and glamour that was the launch of Hollie Wakeham's new salon.  Hollie a make up artist, hairdresser, nail technician, beauty therapist (there's no end to this ladies talents) hosted the event in her home town, Essex.

Photographers, stylists, make up artists and models were in abundance and so were the tasty canapes and glittery cupcakes, yum!

Queues started to build for the chance to have your own set of HD brows.  I must have watched at least 5 people have their brows defined but still wasn't quite brave enough to give it a go myself!

All in all it was a very successful night where I meet some of the nicest people in the industry and the lady in question did herself and her talent proud.

Thinspiration

I recently decided it was time to start some sort of fitness regime to get bikini ready for my holiday to Santorini in September.

To get motivated I bought myself a gorgeous dress from Warehouse for some thinspiration.

Although I can fit in to the dress, lets just say it's a little snug around my bottom half!

Here's a picture of my dress & why not get your own thinspiration dress, it definitely does help to get you motivated!

As always peeps make sure you consult your Doctor before taking on any exercise & don't go too silly just do it to keep fit.

M&S Dress As Seen On Louise Roe

I've been a fan of Louise Roe's style for a while now and after seeing a recent tweet of her in a floral M&S dress, I had to have it.
None of my local stores seem to have it in stock but luckily the good old interweb came up trumps for me and the icing on the cake was the dress has been reduced from £59 to £25!

I can see me wearing this with a pair of nude peeptoes at a summer get together, glass of Pimms in hand.

Vintage Style Wedding Dresses By Lover

For some reason my posts seem to have a wedding theme to them lately, maybe it's because it's wedding season or maybe it's because I'm still looking for my prince charming!  Any who, like many girls I often have a little look at wedding dresses and dream of what mine will be like one day, sad I know!!  And after recently discovering Aussie label Lover, I found these amazing vintage style dresses in their White Magik collection that would make ideal wedding gowns.
The last dress is definitely a bit of me!

The Perfect Dress For A Winter Wedding

I've always been an organised person but even I can admit that buying a dress in July for a December wedding I'm attending is maybe taking it a step too far!  In my defence, it is ideal for a winter soiree and it was an utter bargain that I couldn't resist snapping up while I had the chance.  Normally I find searching for a wedding outfit a pain in the backside so if an opportunity arises where I can pick up the perfect dress without even really looking then I'm going to grab it with both hands!
Now I've just got the task of finding some accessories to complete the look.

Rihanna's Debut River Island Collection

Today is a very exciting day for music and fashion lovers everywhere, as today is the day that River Island announced that Rihanna has chosen them for her debut high street collection.
A statement was released by the store earlier today saying "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Rihanna and to be the first fashion brand to work with her in this way".  River Island also said that they were flattered when the singer approached them about working on a range together.
Rihanna has mentioned previously that she finds London really inspiring and has been spotted wearing pieces from the high street store on recent trips to the UK.
The collection won't be in stores until Spring 2013 but with the style icon and River Island being a perfect fit I'm sure it will be well and truly worth the wait!

Tall Story

Being 5 foot 10 inches tall, I often struggle to say the least to find clothes that are long enough!
Although, much to my surprise on a recent visit to Topshop, I had to decline buying some jeans from their Tall section as they were actually too long for me, which has never happened before!
I'm 32 now though so maybe I'm shrinking in my old age!

I absolutely love playsuits but can never find them long enough.  I bought one a few years back from New Looks Tall section but this is the only one I owned until I stumbled across this little beauty on the Tesco website.  It's the perfect fit & only £16!

Another problem item as you can imagine is maxi dresses, they never seem to be quite long enough.  I popped into Zara last weekend to have a quick mooch around the sale & found the perfect maxi dress for my holiday to Santorini in September.  I would actually go as far as to say that if you are shorter than 5 foot 10 inches it may be too long for you.
At only £22.99 what a bargain, it also comes in pink & green if you'd prefer a brighter version!

Topshop's Co-ord Peony Throw On Jacket

If you'd asked me 5 years ago what I thought about floral jackets I probably would have compared them to a pair of curtains and I certainly wouldn't have been seen dead wearing one!  But, my opinion on them has done a complete 180 because I can't get enough of them these days.  Especially the Co-ord Peony Throw On Jacket from Topshop.  It has summer written all over it, even if the weather doesn't!

H&M Leopard Print Shirt And Designer Inspired Jewellery

I've had a few comments about my new leopard print shirt, mainly that I look like Bet Lynch, I like to think that it's more Fearne Cotton but either way, I love it.
H&M have some great bits in at the moment, on the same shopping trip Claire bought a vintage YSL inspired ring and a Mulberry-esque studded cuff.  With them all being affordable high street prices, it's the ideal way to add a designer touch to an outfit without the designer price tag!

Afternoon Tea With A Fashion Twist At The Berkeley Hotel

This afternoon the whole family headed to Knightsbridge for Claire's birthday.  With the celebrations taking place at The Berkeley hotel for afternoon tea with a fashionista twist.  The aptly named Pret-a-Portea transforms it's menu every 6 months to follow the changing seasons.  Cakes and pastries were made to resemble pieces from Spring/Summer 2012 collections from designers such as D&G, Jason Wu, Mulberry and Valentino.  All served on gorgeous fine bone china by Paul Smith.
If you have a sweet tooth and a love for fashion then it's a great way to spend an afternoon.  Being just around the corner from Harrods and Harvey Nichols is also an added bonus!

Coleen Rooney's 70's Inspired Littlewoods Collection

In the words of the lady herself, this latest Littlewoods collection from Coleen is her best yet.  After starting to design for them back in 2010, Coleen has now come into her own and found her signature style and what works best for her.
Her A/W 2012 range has a 70's inspired vibe with a bird print flared jumpsuit and a gorgeous kimono style jacket.
Being a celeb collection the prices are a bit higher than the normal Littlewoods bargains but if it's good enough for Coleen then I'm sure you ladies will think it's worth forking out for!

My First Steps Into The World Of Fashion

So yesterday I took my first steps into the world of fashion on the first day of my internship with fashion designer/stylist Joey Bevan.  And what a day it was!  I meet numerous designers and pr companies giving me a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes of the fashion industry.
Obviously I knew it would be hectic and being told I'd need comfy shoes kind of gave me an insight into how much running around I'd be doing.  Although I was knackered and my legs still felt like they were running at the end of the day, it was a great way to start my journey.
Not a bad start for someone from a banking background, it just goes to show that perseverance does eventually pay off!

Parrots and Neons

Due to the unsuccessful shopping trip on Friday I had no choice but to go again today to try and restore my faith in our high street!  And it was definitely a more rewarding experience than Friday's let down.
Anything with a bird print or a splash of colour is high up on my agenda when adding to my wardrobe so these buys were a must have for me.
